# Printer scale test

Most printers shrink pages by 3 to 6% unless you tell them not to. Print this one page at **100%** (also called **Actual size** or **No scaling**), then measure the two 10 cm bars with a ruler. If both measure exactly 10 cm, your phone case inserts will fit.

## How to print at 100% on every system

- **Mac (Preview):** File, Print, then under Scale choose 100%. Untick “Scale to fit”.
- **Windows (Edge or Acrobat):** in the print dialog set Scale to 100% or choose “Actual size”. Turn off “Fit to printable area”.
- **Chrome:** open More settings and set Scale to Default or Custom 100. Untick “Fit to page”.
- **iPhone and iPad:** AirPrint prints PDFs at full size by default; check that no “Fit” option is on in the Options menu.

## If the bars are not 10 cm

Shorter than 10 cm means the printer scaled the page down. Look for “Fit to page”, “Shrink oversized pages” or a percentage below 100 and change it. Longer than 10 cm is rare; check the paper size matches the paper in the tray (A4 vs Letter).
