What I do here
I build the insert maker and the phone templates, and I publish the guides under DIY and ideas. The site started when a child cut a paper insert for a parent’s clear case, and it grew from the practical questions people ask when they try the same: does it fit, will it block wireless charging, which paper works, how do I cut around the camera.
How the guides are made
- Sources are opened and linked. Each outside fact links to the page it came from, with the date it was checked. If a source could not be opened, the guide says so.
- Tested and untested are kept apart. A number is only called tested when it was measured. Manufacturer sizes, estimates and one maker’s claims are labelled as such, and each guide says what it did not test.
- I publish and answer for every guide. If something is wrong, it is my job to fix it.
- Pictures are labelled. Illustrations and AI-generated images are captioned as such; real photos are marked as real.
