What to put in a clear phone case
The easiest thing to put in a clear phone case is a printed insert cut to your phone’s size: a family photo, an aesthetic pattern, a kid’s drawing or a coloring page. Flat, thin items also work: a concert ticket, a pressed flower, a sticker sheet or a small postcard. Avoid anything thick, metallic or wet.
Printed ideas (make them free here)
- A family photo. The most popular choice. Make a photo insert.
- Your pet. A close-up fills the phone shape best.
- A black-and-white couple photo with a date in handwriting.
- An aesthetic print: sunsets, galaxies, vintage maps.
- Cottagecore flowers or a picnic check: cottagecore ideas.
- Coquette bows and hearts: coquette ideas.
- Y2K checkerboards and chrome stars: Y2K ideas.
- A coloring page your kid colors in: phone case coloring pages.
- Your kid’s drawing, photographed and printed at the right size.
- Your name or initials on a plain colour.
- A favourite wallpaper or album-style artwork you made yourself.
Things you already have
- A concert or train ticket. Cut it to size or place it on a printed background.
- A pressed flower or leaf. Dry it flat for a week between book pages first.
- Stickers on a plain paper insert.
- A small postcard or note from someone you love.
What not to put in a clear case
- Cards with chips or magnetic stripes. Wireless charging and MagSafe can damage them, and they block charging.
- Foil or metallic paper. It can stop wireless charging.
- Thick card or layered items. They stretch the case and can press on buttons.
- Cash. It gets damaged by heat from charging.
How to make it fit
Paper inserts look best when they match the case exactly. Use a true-size template for your phone, print at 100% and cut out the camera hole (guide).
